Coinciding with its 60th anniversary, Industrias Químicas del Ebro has opened a new precipitated silica manufacturing plant in its industrial complex of Malpica. This corporate event was attended by the President of Aragón, Javier Lambán and the Mayor of Zaragoza, Pedro Santisteve among others.
With this new infrastructure IQE increases its product portfolio and is positioned in the tyre industry. The characteristics of this material, which reduces wear, improves rolling resistance and get a better grip on wet, make it a key product in this strategic market.
The investment made in this new plant will allow working with large companies in the sector and has led to the creation of thirty new jobs.
The plant, which works 24 hours a day, is located on a recently urbanized plot of 30,000 square meters and includes a production hall of 6,000 square meters and a warehouse of 4,000. The volume of production is estimated at 20,000 MT per year.
