Last Monday, November 26, took place in the auditorium of the University (Plaza de Paraíso, 4) the ceremony of recognition to the entities that collaborate with the university chairs, among which is IQE, and which was attended by the highest authorities of companies and institutions and all those who are carrying out the activity of the chairs.
The University of Zaragoza has 68 chairs and is the second Spanish public university in terms of this type of agreement. These chairs allow for various R&D&I activities, teaching, conferences and seminars, student internships, scholarships, awards…
The “Cátedra IQE” is based in the Faculty of Science and its activity is focused on the promotion of research; the dissemination, popularization and social projection of Science; the promotion of the application of technologies to the welfare of society, and other activities considered of mutual interest.
The event was attended by the rector, José Antonio Mayoral, the president of the Government of Aragon, Javier Lambán; the secretary general of Universities, José Manuel Pingarrón; the president of the Social Council, Manuel Serrano; the president of the Aragonese Council of Chambers of Commerce, Manuel Teruel; the president of CEOE Zaragoza, Ricardo Mur; and the vice-rector of Technology Transfer and Innovation, Pilar Zaragoza.
During the ceremony, Professor Enrique Dans gave a lecture on “Education, business and the keys to the future”.
